Hands For Heroes

Caring Touch Myotherapy is now a partner with Hands for HeroesTM, a national organization of health care professionals who are donating their time and skills to provide therapeutic bodywork for our Nation’s Veterans.  Sponsors for this organization include Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), Evergreen, CO; Phoenix School of Holistic Health, Houston, TX; and Dewey & Leboeuf, P.C., New York, NY.

The wounds of war can go far beyond what meets the eye.  Veterans face a multitude of health issues that include pain and illness as well as mental health issues that can persist long after they leave the battlefields.  Dr. Stephen Hunt, national director of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Post Deployment Integrative Care Initiative states, “This is a population that has unique health care needs that need to be addressed.  It’s something that really needs to be done by a team.  We can’t do it without the collaboration of other providers, and the knowledge and presence of the community.”

Benefits of partnering with Hands for HeroesTM include contributing to the health and well being of those who protect us each and every day and becoming a valuable resource with other therapists across the nation to provide time and service to heal our Veterans.

Caring Touch Myotherapy offers one free massage per veteran per month.  Additional sessions may be purchased at a reduced rate.  Military ID must be presented at time of appointment to receive this discount.
